Am I such an ignorant person, not aware of ground realities? My first reaction, when I read this . The message coming out of it was as if I, and many other men folk as well, am being blamed. An uncomfortable, an awkward feeling. I, for that matter all of my male friends and acquaintances, never indulged in any activity of such kind. Neither had I come across of this any where as back as memory goes. Okay! Just because I had never witnessed or involved in something, I am not denying the existence of that. I do acknowledge existence of offences made against females by few antisocial elements, in most cases male. But they are just that, ANTISOCIAL. For God’s sake don’t generalize the act to whole male species. There are guys, and many of them, who respect and give due importance to members of fairer sex. We don’t consider them as commodities. Yes, that is the amount I invested on Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire. Day before yesterday I watched the movie third time on Imax screen , so 180*3. And every time I love it more than previous occasion :-D.

What kind of awakening is this? Unless we are rubbed in the wrong way, do we care? We  don’t. But we should. We the lot of argumentative Indians. Don’t preach , Act. Majority of problems and issues can be addressed and fixed by bottom up approach. All we need is, self discipline . Stop blaming. System is what WE make it to be. We are very much part of All the Systems. To change the system, we need to change ourselves. Stop cribbing. Be the change you want to see in the society, in the system. Lets don’t do any thing which we know is not correct but we still do because we don’t care and have this “ chalta hai ” attitude.  All we require is to be self disciplined.

Came across this piece of writing on web. And this pretty well reflect my case. He wants to get over this girl he has been in love with for a long time. He feels that when he is thinking straight, he can see it is a lost cause. But alas, love and rational thinking rarely go hand in hand. Hence this dear friend of mine finds himself trapped in this vicious circle of hope, disappointment, more hope and more disappointment. The first thing I do in the morning is to get that day’s newspaper and head directly to the loo. Around a week back or so there was this four-page supplement along with The Hindu dedicated to satya sai baba on His birthday. That left me wondering about this self proclaimed God. Does he really deserves a full four pages of coverage in a news paper none other than the stature of The Hindu, which surely is class apart from the ilk of TOIs and DCs. That led me to some search on net about sai baba and others of same genre. And came across quite a good amount of controversy about him. This post is not about if this guy is right or wrong. Rather I think I put forward my point of view on matters related to this. I wont argue if there is God or not and any such non conclusive debate issues. This will be about why they believe in them. They say, don’t give up yaar. But at times you have to. You gotta accept your limitations and understand your capabilities. Being realistic is not being defeatist. I dream you dream and every body dreams. But that has to be realistic, I cannot possibly give any competition to SRK :-0) but yes I can do something which he or for that matter many others cannot do. I have that believe in my capabilities and me. But at the same time you have to be realistic in your expectations. So this is all about understanding your limitations and accepting the same. Some things are not in your hand but whatever is in your hand you have to do that, and do that best.

Two women novelist and my both favourite. At the one end Ayn Rand wrote philosophy , creator of Howard Roark and John Galt and the other end Rowling with her Potter thing. I am a big time fan of Harry Potter. Why these two are my fav? Ayn Rand : I just love the characters of Gail Wynand , Dagny taggert , Hank Reardon, Francisco d'Anconia. Some for the way they worked there way up and other for there sheer grit and determination and intelliegence. Strange enough my favourite character is neither Howard Roark nor John Galt. J K Rowling: More than the imagination she has used in the novel this is the friendship element among Harry , Ron and Hermione I admire. Kindda different ? Who is John Galt , anyway ?

Some time a small gesture makes you feel good. The other day I received this sms from bhabhi. Apart from general things she told as these are days of extreme heat I should take care and take nimbu paani regulary. How sweet :).

Somewhere I read that your happiness increases and your unhappiness decreases when you share them with somebody. And I just cannot tell you how true is this. For the last couple of months things were not working out well, agree those were created by me only and I was making myself suffer (As they say everything is there in your mind , the way you react makes vulnerable or strong in the given situation). I shared my emotional worries and insecurities with one of my friend, my sis and my dad. And voila, I am feeling much better. I just can’t tell how relieved I am these days. All these days I knew that my suffering is self created and did not hold any ground. At the first place I want very sure about my feelings for her. I myself could never justify the special place she had developed in my life. I was never convinced myself , and during those days I remember the intense fight between my head and heart. Spent 3 days at home and this was the best trip ever to home. It was after 2 and half years we all were at home and all of us were free this time to enjoy ourselves to the max. We even visited the village were we spent some 4-5 years in our early childhood. And haan this time I took flight to home :o).

More than taking a stand it seems accepting people as they are makes life easier. People dont act and react the way you do , and expecting them to behave the way you do would be nothing less than foolishness .There are differences and thats what make beauty of relations. Make all the expectations null and void , detach yourself and accept those around you the way they are , life will be easy. It seems I think , therfore I am dangerous :o) . Let go off all expectation and enjoy life as it comes , no setting of standards and comparision. Not atleast in relations. One thing I feel is expectations are image of yourself , its kindda had I been at your place I would have acted or reacted in this particular way in the given situation , and you start attaching expectation which is not only wrong but also undesirable as people are unique in their own way , and now I understand that this uniqueness makes spices of the life .
